Dance floor etiquette
Six unwritten rules, written down — so you never have to guess what the room expects.

The rules
None of these are enforced by anyone. They just make the floor pleasant.
- Front rows are for people who know the dance. Back and second rows are for learning.
- Don't teach on the social floor unless asked.
- If you collide, laugh and keep dancing.
- Leave a lane at the edges for people crossing the room.
- It is always fine to walk off mid-dance.
- If someone is standing alone at the edge, say hello.
The one that matters most
Community over perfection. A room where beginners feel watched stops being a community. If you're the experienced one, your job is to be visibly relaxed about mistakes — including your own.
